Iranian Foreign minister says there are no problems between Cairo and Tehran standing in the way of improved relations, according to Al Mayadeen.  Iran has also confirmed it will reopen its embassy in Saudi Arabia this week, Al Jazeera reported.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said there are no conflicts between Cairo and Tehran: noting that Iran welcomes any initiative to improve bilateral relations, in an interview with Iranian state television, Al Mayadeen reported. In the interview, he also commended former president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's foreign policy in the region which he described as "logical and correct," the news site added.

According to Al Jazeera, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani confirmed in a statement on Monday that Tehran’s embassy in Riyadh will be reopened on Tuesday, followed by the reopening of its consulate in Jeddah and its representative office with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation a day later. The move comes in accordance with a China-brokered agreement that Iran and Saudi Arabia signed in Beijing on March 10, which set a deadline of two months to reopen embassies, the news site added.
