Demand for solar panels in the UAE has increased by 40 per cent this year, supported by the public and private sectors' drive to transition to sustainable energy and significant financial savings compared to conventional electricity.

Officials discussed the secrets behind solar success in the UAE.  "The high awareness of preserving the environment and the UAE's directions to preserve the climate is one of the most important motives for this type of energy."

They added: "The local market is witnessing a great momentum in solar energy systems, which have become easier and faster to implement, as well as in light of the early steps taken by the UAE to adopt clean energy technologies."

Mohammed Younis, Regional Sales Manager of UK Solar Power, said: "The markets are witnessing a growth in demand for solar panel systems sales by up to 40 per cent during the recent period, supported by the UAE's sustainable trends and the high awareness of individual and corporate customers, in addition to the factor of the decline in the cost of panels globally, by about 7 per cent, and its reflection on the cost of supply to the region's markets", Al Khaleej reported.

Kebun Jichang, Director of Projects and Marketing Strategies at the Taiwan Trade Development Council, explained that the recent period has witnessed a remarkable growth in the demand for power panels, with the development of their technologies significantly and their cost declining, compared to previous periods, noting that many Taiwanese companies provide innovative products for panels, which are suitable for the designs of exterior homes.
