Cristiano Amon, president and CEO of Qualcomm Inc, said the US semiconductor company is committed to building new partnerships in China, on the basis of its nearly three-decade history in the country, China Daily reports.

"We are proud of the deep relationships we have built over the past 30 years, and the new partnerships we are building today," Amon said at the Economic Summit of China Development Forum in Beijing on Saturday. "One of the most significant trends to have emerged in recent years is digital transformation. It has quickly become a strategic imperative for sustainable growth and innovation, unlocking greater operational efficiencies, increasing productivity, and enabling new business models and revenue streams – even in the current macro-economic climate," he added.

According to China Daily, the senior executive highlighted China's recent plan for the overall layout of the country's digital development, which is designed to accelerate the construction of digital China. "We remain committed to providing our partners across mobile, personal computing, automotive, edge networking… and the broader internet of things, with the most comprehensive and advanced solutions to enable a thriving digital economy," Amon said.
