London, which held the title of the city with the most five-star rated hotels in the world for four years, has been surpassed by Macau, according to the Forbes Travel Guide 2023 Star Awards released on February 15, CNA Luxury reports.

Macau has claimed the top spot with 22 five-star rated properties, including the Galaxy Hotel, Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, The Karl Lagerfeld, Londoner Court, and Londoner Hotel, gaining more new five-star hotels than any other location. London came second with 21 five-star rated hotels.

The Forbes Travel Guide is an independent global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas, CNA Luxury reminds.
