The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected that China's economy will grow 5.2 percent in 2023 and 4.5 percent in 2024, according to its latest World Economic Outlook report released this week, according to CCTV.

The forecast is in line with predictions from other global financial institutions that have placed the country's growth for the year around the 5.0 percent mark or higher, the article adds.

Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas, director of the IMF Research Department, highlighted that the international organization is encouraged by China's economic recovery while speaking at a press briefing on the report.
