Hungary's head of state and head of government reacted to Hamas's attack against Israel on Saturday.

Hamas militants fired thousands of rockets and sent dozens of fighters into Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip in an unprecedented surprise early morning attack during a major Jewish holiday Saturday, killing dozens and stunning the country,  AP reported.

"We strongly condemn the brutal attack against Israel, and unequivocally support Israel’s right to self-defence," Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote on X.
"Hungary affirms its unwavering support for Israel," President Katalin Novák stressed.
