"We have learned with great sorrow the untimely demise of Mr. János Hóvári, the Executive Director of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States in Hungary",
wrote OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev in a statement on Monday.
"His dedicated efforts and professionalism to converge Hungary and the Hungarian people with the brotherly Turkic States and peoples have yielded remarkable success. His valuable contributions will not be forgotten and his memory will remain in our hearts for good", he added.
Born in 1955, János Hóvári has held ambassadorial positions in several countries during his career, including Israel (2000-2004), Kuwait (2008-2010) and Turkey (2012-2014). Between 2010-2012, he served as Deputy State Secretary for Global Affairs. János Hóvári died at the age of sixty-eight.
