The European Commission and Kazakhstan have jointly inaugurated the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor Coordination Platform. This initiative aims to elevate the safety and sustainability standards of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor while enhancing its functionality to become a competitive multimodal route linking Europe and Asia in 15 days or less,

The launch event, held with the participation of representatives from Central Asian countries, states along the corridor, international financial institutions, and non-EU G7 nations, emphasized the critical role of transport infrastructure in fostering economic prosperity. Marat Karabayev, Kazakhstan's Minister of Transport, stressed the importance of collaboration and exchange of expertise in achieving common goals, inviting partners from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey to join efforts towards the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
First Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Mamanbiy Omarov met with a delegation of the European Commission for International Cooperation to discuss cooperation within the framework of the coordination platform of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, according to
UZ Daily. At the meeting, detailed information was presented on current reforms aimed at developing transport and logistics infrastructure in Uzbekistan. Omarov emphasized Uzbekistan’s readiness to actively participate in EU initiatives aimed at attracting investments to create a stable and safe transport infrastructure.
